With an eye on the next season of the UCI World Tour and after years without the necessary assistance, cyclist Sean Bennett managed to join the China Glory Cycling Team by signing his contract in October last year, however, the team did not complete the financing that had proposed to the athlete with the UCI being discarded for next year.

In interviews, the cyclist commented that he feels frustrated for not being able to accomplish what he had proposed “At the end of October, they were not sure about the ProTeam. And they never came to me again, although there is something on paper for a ProTeam. It was as if nothing had happened there. Then I went back looking for teams in late November and early December, and nothing came up.”

Sean Bennett reinforced that he is still too young to end his career, “it’s been frustrating some winters to be in this situation where a team folds or changes their mind at the last minute. I had hoped to keep going, but nothing has come to fruition this year and it’s time to say goodbye. Thank you for the people who supported me in times past like this and supported me through this”. The China Glory Cycling Team has not commented on the matter.
