Yesterday (18), in the afternoon, the former basketball player and coach of the Boston Celtics, Chris Ford, died. The family informed everyone through a statement released by the NBA, however, the cause of death was not disclosed.

Chris Ford had a winning career, being selected 17th overall in the 1972 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons, played ten seasons at point guard, won championships in 1981, and made the first 3-pointer in basketball history in the game of Celtics against Houston Rockets in 1979.
