“We saw at Strade Bianche the kind of form he is in and I know how much he was looking forward to taking that to Milan-San Remo. But the rider’s well-being is our first priority and he will follow the advice of our medical team to ensure he is 100% fit to safely finish his Classics campaign,” Ineos Grenadiers said in a statement.

After recovering, the cyclist is now authorized by the medical team to return to championships and training. Even after his return, Tom Pidcock was not scheduled to compete in the E3 Saxo Classic, which will take place tomorrow (24), as a justification, Ineos Grenadiers reported that the race plans were quite “dynamic”.
