Last Monday (12), during an interview with the newspaper “Sporza”, Wout van Aert criticized the way in which Netflix, in his new cinematographic work “Tour de France: Unchained”, portrayed his professional relationship with Jonas Vingeegard while running last year’s Tour de France. The cyclist claims that situations were created that did not exist.

“It’s quite disturbing that the documentary has stories that don’t exist. For me, the series is focused on commotion. Jonas and I are best friends. It focuses on times when it’s hard to make the right choice, but there are also so many times when we support each other and work together. It is a shame that this has been retracted”.

The title of the work underwent a modification, instead of being “Tour de France: Unchained”, it will now be “Tour de France: Au cœur du peloton” which means “in the heart of the peloton” referring to the passion for professional sport. The series has eight episodes, lasting 45 minutes and will be made available to 190 countries.
Each episode will focus on eight teams: AG2R Citroën, Alpecin-Fenix, Bora-Hansgrohe, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ, Ineos Grenadiers, Jumbo-Visma and QuickStep – AlphaVinyl.
