Speculation claims Lance Stroll might leave Formula 1

Athletes can invest in tennis

Last Wednesday (23), during the podcast “The Race”, journalist Ben Anderson revealed that Lance Stroll could stop participating in Formula 1 competitions and that he would be willing to start a new professional career playing tennis. Speculation started when there were rumors that the driver would not race with Fernando Alonso.

“He is a long way from Alonso, but he will probably leave the team voluntarily as his father directs him. Rumors have been circulating recently that he’s thinking about playing tennis,” said journalist Ben Anderson on The Race podcast.

The professional continued the explanation of the speculations: “Therefore, if there was a meeting with the team in theory, several names could be discussed. Alex Albon, Yuki Tsunoda, have been mentioned before that Honda will definitely consider. Not even Oscar Piastri can be left out, as he is doing very well as rookies”.

Lance Stroll’s career change may indicate that Formula 1 sponsors cannot see the enthusiasm to reach the level of a double world champion, as is his new partner Fernando Alonso. In addition, the fact that the pilot is the son of Lawrence Stroll leaves doubts about the commitment of his profession.

Even though the driver has not spoken out against the information, Lance Stroll is confirmed to compete in the first competition after the summer break, in the Dutch Grand Prix, which will take place next Sunday (27), at the Circuit de Park Zandvoort.
