Biles headlines the five-women U.S. team, at the competition in Belgium during the first week of October. This is going to be her sixth appearance at the event, the most ever by an American woman.

The event will be held in Antwerp, where she won her first world all-around title, at the age of 16. Now she returns looking to become the most decorated gymnast in history, after seven Olympic medals and 25 world championship medals.
In the 2021 Tokyo Olympics Simone was favorite for five gold medals and a contender for six podiums, but in the middle of the competition she suffered from what she called “twisties”, a mental condition that affects her body perception in the air. With the condition she withdrew from almost all the finals.
She took a sabbatical after the games, and married American NFL safety quarterback Jonathan Owens. Last month she returned to competition, and won the US Classic, her eighth American title.
In Antwerp she will be joined by Shilese Jones, Leanne Wong, Skye Blakely and Joscelyn Roberson. Kayla DiCello, the 2021 World Cup medallist, will be the reserve.
