Previously, due to complications with permissions to return to the WorldTour, Israel-Premier Tech had shown interest in purchasing licenses that would allow the team to return to competitions and, according to UCI regulations, the team could win the chance after a year after junction between Jumbo-Visma and Soudal-QuickStep.

Uno-X manager Jens Haugland, in an interview with WielerFlits, stated that purchasing the license, even if possible, he believes to be risky. “We will only assume the license without any obligations. Therefore, we will not assume a paying agent that already has a structure of pilots and employees. This is not natural for us,” he said.
The businessman continued his explanation: “We have our own system, our own structure, which we built ourselves. We will never run the risk of changing our identity based on an available license. But the WorldTour was, and is, our ambition. We would also demonstrate this with our hiring.”
Q36.5 sporting director Aart Vierhouten explained that obtaining the license during this period is still early for the team and that it is pre-planned for the team to conquer the top and the WorldTour in 2026. “We are not interested in the WorldTour now. If we held an internal vote, I would vote no”, he concluded.
