The measure will be applied independently, if the merger between Jumbo-Visma and Soudal-QuickStep occurs, and the union between the company and the team, will happen for the second time as they previously worked together to produce the cinematographic work “All-in Team Jumbo-Visma”, which was launched last year and will be continued soon.

Faced with speculation about the merger of the two super teams, members and employees of Soudal-QuickStep reported that nothing had been commented on during the Franco-Belge Circuit, in Italy. Many cyclists joked about the situation and said that there wasn’t much that could be done, just wait.
“We don’t know what the outcome of the story will be. Of course we have doubts. We have to wait patiently. My contract will not be affected by this. I will always have my place on the WorldTour. Everyone with a contract must have confidence. I am sure that everything will be handled correctly”, commented Yves Lampaert, Soudal-QuickStep athlete.
Recently, the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws reported that the UCI was notified of the possible merger between Jumbo-Visma and Soudal-QuickStep and that, shortly after, conversations and meetings took place between the CEO of Jumbo-Visma, Richard Plugge, with the president of the organization, David Lappartient, to detail the super team’s plans.
