On Tuesday night (24), the 23/24 NBA season began. Thus, the current champions Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 119 to 107. Meanwhile, in the second game of the night, the Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors away from home 108-104.

Therefore, before the start of the first game, the Nuggets players participated in the traditional NBA championship ring ceremony, in addition to celebrating, once again, last season’s title.

Namely, the match marked the return of 38-year-old LeBron James, who made league history, alongside Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Willis, as athletes who played 21 seasons. However, the big name of the match was Serbian Nikola Jokic, with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

On the other hand, with 32 points and eight assists, Booker was the highlight of the match between Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors and the main person responsible for “ruining” Chris Paul’s debut with the Warriors.

In this way, despite having new pieces in the game, Golden State revived one of its greatest traditions: the third quarter of death. With an incredible 40 points in the period, the Warriors went into the final half with an advantage.

In the last quarter, however, Booker’s star shone. In addition to decisive baskets, he was instrumental in setting up the Suns’ last three plays, which ended with two three-pointers and a basket from Nurkic that killed the game.
