Manchester United was the club that spent the most to build its squad in Europe. In a study released by UEFA, the English team appears in first place, with an investment of 1.4 billion euros (around R$7.5 billion) in transfers.

With this, two other English clubs complete the study podium: Manchester City and Chelsea. Another six Premier League teams are in the top 20 of the list.
The study takes into account how much clubs spent on signing players from the current main squad.
