This past weekend, on his social networks, Ja Morant published a photograph holding a gun and because of that, the Memphis Grizzlies athlete was suspended for two games of the matches. The move prompted Colorado police to investigate his association with carrying a gun.

Amidst the news, the player published a statement taking responsibility for his actions: “I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I will take time out to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being”.

After the video was shown, investigations began by the police in Glendale, Colorado. According to the laws of the place, Ja Morant would have circumvented the rules since in the place firearms need to be “regulated by local and municipal authorities”, in addition to the fact that the NBA “prohibits that a player has a firearm while in the team property or traveling on business”.
