According to rumors, the Colombian cyclist would be competing in the UCI WorldTour and that he would return to the Movistar Team that he belonged to for eight seasons since 2012 and 2019. However, some WorldTour teams have manifested themselves confirming that they do not intend to hire him.

It is worth remembering that for having been caught by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) due to the use of Tramadol, Nairo Quintana had his three-year contract with the former team Arkea Samsic terminated. In interviews and publications on social networks, the athlete claims that he has never used the substance.
