Last Monday (03), according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony Edwards agreed to renew his contract with the current team Minnesota Timberwolves. The news states that the player will have a maximum extension of five years worth the equivalent of US$204 million each season.

The new contract also allows the athlete to get an additional $40 million over the five years if he is present on the All-NBA roster in the coming years. However, the validation of the renewal will only apply in 2024, this season Anthony Edwards will still receive $13.5 million.

Upon learning of the news, the player made it clear how happy he is with the new stage of his career in professional basketball: “I feel honored, grateful and excited to remain in Minnesota as part of this great organization that is the Timberwolves.
