Last week, Neymar Jr’s trial was once again one of the main news in the world’s newspapers. The final result of the hearings will take place during the World Cup in Qatar, on 20 November.

As justification, the prosecutor responsible for the case informs that “there is no evidence, no indications, only suppositions. It may be that the Civil Code of Brazil or FIFA regulations have been violated, but not the Penal Code of Spain.” However, the process is still running in court due to the accusation made by the DIS company, which at the time held 40% of Neymar Jr’s economic rights.

The process has been active since 2016, when an investigation into the case took place with the complaint of the DIS group, but due to the player’s team’s loss of appeal in the Spanish Supreme Court in 2017, the case remains open. The company wants the PSG player’s arrest, payments of fines equivalent to 10 million euros from his father and former Barcelona managers Sandro Rosell and Josep Bartomeu, and Santos Odílio Rodrigues.
