Hamilton admits he thought about retiring

In an interview with the German newspaper Bild, Lewis Hamilton says that he thought about retiring because he was interested in developing in other areas of his life. The winner of seven world championships and a great record holder reinforces that motorsport is not as important as it was as a child.

“Since I was 30, I realized that the important thing is to create memories. With friends, with family. It’s about creating memories with the people who mean the most to you. That’s what I focus on and plan things to create those moments. Because that’s what you take with you for the long haul,” Hamilton said.

Lewis Hamilton, who has a contract with Mercedes until the end of next season, said that it is every athlete’s dream to retire being a world champion. The athlete confirmed that he intends to be on the same team as Brackley but that, there has not yet been time to discuss the matter.
