As a result, the move quickly went viral on social media, with fans and the press considering it to be the best dunk of the year. The price for this, however, was high: both Edwards and Collins were injured on the play.

Edwards confirmed after the game that he dislocated a finger on his left hand. Collins had to leave the court due to a head injury and did not return to the match.
