“I was very motivated to win with this shirt before the end of the year. But this week was difficult, it was a long season. I was tired, it was a little difficult. That’s it, I’m going on vacation now. Normally on the last lap I would go full throttle, but today I couldn’t be upset”, said Tom Pidcock.

With a 26 second advantage over Mathias Fluckiger, the athlete said during the course he tried to minimize his mistakes by paying close attention to the competitor’s moves so that he could have superior strategies that would lead him to victory. Furthermore, he said that the rainy weather in Quebec hindered his performance a little.

Tom Pidcock has not stated when he will return from vacation, however, he has left an excellent record this year to remember. Previously, the cyclist was present at eight different MTB events, in the months of April and October, in addition to matches at Strade Bianche and Tour de France.
