Given Arsenal’s stance, it is possible that coach Mikel Arteta was satisfied with the result, even if the team needed the victory to remain in the lead.

Compact in defense, the Gunners nullified the offensive moves of the current English champion, with Gabriel Magalhães getting the better of the duel with Haaland. And they even bothered us with some counterattacks in the first half.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City had two great opportunities to come away with the victory: in the first half, Aké glanced a header inside the small area and Raya caught the reflex; and in the second, Haaland drilled the ball, alone at the second post, in a rehearsed corner.

Now, Liverpool reached 67 points and regained the lead, while Arsenal came second with 65 points and City third with 64.
