Kane chases Lewandowski’s Bundesliga record

Harry Kane is recovered from injury and ready to reach Lewandowski’s record for goals in a single edition of the Bundesliga.

After being out of action on the FIFA date in March due to an ankle problem, the English striker returned to training at Bayern Munich this Wednesday. 

And he has around two months to reach or surpass the Polish center forward’s historic mark: 41 goals in the 2020/21 German Championship for the Bavarian team.

As a result, Kane has 31 goals in 26 rounds in the 2023/24 Bundesliga and tops this edition’s artillery. At this point in the competition in the record-breaking season, Lewandowski had found the net 35 times.

There are eight games left, and the English striker would need to improve his goal average just a little. He currently has 1.19 per game. The Pole finished the league three years ago with 1.21.
