“Next year I want to defend my title at the Olympics, but I also need as many points as I can. But I have to balance that with the team, and they need me, they want me on the Tour, so I have to be there and give my best on the Tour with only eight days between competitions,” said Tom Pidcock.

During the conversation, the cyclist reflected that his performance this year in the Tour de France was not exactly as planned, stating that in 2024 he aims to be better than his first year competing in the competition, in which he won victory in one of the most difficult stages. difficult routes reaching the top of L’Alpe d’Huez.

When talking about his journey into mountain biking, Tom Pidcock shared that he was pleased with his progress especially with his victory at Strade Bianche. “I think I took a big step this year on the road, which is good, and then I won the MTB world championship, which was my biggest goal of the year, actually,” he said.
