Colts owner Jim Irsay said that the rookie is “probably” going to miss the remainder of this season, since Richardson suffered an AC joint sprain in Week 5, during the Colts’ 23-16 win over the Tennessee Titans, on Sunday 8.

The team has not yet determined if the quarterback will undergo surgery. He was placed on injured reserve last week. Irsay told ESPN that “the most likelihood is he’s probably going to be gone for the year. I mean, it’s not definite but (he) probably misses this year and we’re going to have to contend with that factor”.

“There’s debate going, but it’s probably going to lead toward surgery in the next week or so. We’re just trying to figure out exactly how and when and what we want to do and what Anthony wants to do.”, added Irsay.

This is Richardson second injury of his career, since he sustained a concussion in Week 2. Richardson, the fourth overall pick in this year’s draft, completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 577 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in four career starts.
