Over the past week, there has been some speculation about Mark Cavendish’s fate. The rumor would be that the cyclist would sign with the new B&B Hotels-KTM team for the 2023 season, and that the news would be revealed at a grandiose press conference in Paris on the UCI Proteam Tour France route. However, that was not what happened and the event was suspended by the company.

According to the B&B Hotels-KTM team, in a post on the social network, there was an “absence of some of the main stakeholders in the 2023 team project” and, still stated, they did not have a scheduled date for the announcement.

According to the French newspaper L’Équipe, the reason the team did not seek a WorldTour or ProTeam license for the year 2023 was the problems of a new legal structure and finalization of the budget.
