Charlotte Kool takes first place in the second stage of La Vuelta Femenina

The athlete considers herself excited for the rest of the competition

For the first time, Charlotte Kool won the first position of the second stage of La Vuleta Femenina that took place during this week between May 1st and 7th, in Torrevieja, Spain. Marianne Vos remained in second place with an advantage over Chloe Dygert.

“Of course I’m very excited, this is my first big win on a Grand Tour, great to do this at the first opportunity. It was an eventful final and we knew it. I almost got boxed but luckily I found the right wheel in the end. It was a very long sprint”, said the winner.

“Tomorrow is even flatter, so let’s go!”, said the cyclist excited about the victory. The second stage of La Vuelta Femenina will run from Elche de la Sierra to Le Roda, equivalent to 157.8 kilometers. In the coming days, the athletes will face long mountains in La Cabrera, Mirador de Peñas Llanas, Castro-Urdiales and Laredo.
