Evenepoel decides to run the Giro d’Italia 2023

Remco chose to wait and prepare further for the Tour de France

The Belgian cyclist recently announced that instead of racing for the Tour de France, he will participate in the Giro d’Italia next year. Evenepoel told on his social networks that he was ready to give some recognition in his career and soon after, he decided to make the change.

Patrick Lefevere, head of his Quick-Step team, was one of the main drivers for Evenepoel to opt for the change, informing that he would like him to wait to race the Tour de France until 2024. The Giro d’Italia will have three stages of counter- clock with 70.6 km.
