When commenting on next year’s Tour de France, Jonas Vingegaard comments that he has decided to adopt new tactics for the competition. In his explanation, the cyclist says that he will not act like he did on the Col du Granon as he did in the last competition in the French Alps that drove the public crazy and being hailed as one of the best days of the edition.

“We figured out how to beat Pogacar last year. We know his strengths and the areas where Jonas is superior to him. We returned to the tour with a solid plan and we believe we can go for the yellow again with him,” said Merijn Zeeman, the rider’s team manager.

Jonas Vingegaard reinforces that going to compete next year will be a transformative experience “going to the Tour is different now compared to last year. Somehow there’s more pressure, but also less pressure because we made it. If I don’t win again in my career, I can still be super happy with what I did.”
