The cycling project will be called, “The Loop” and will be the “smartest” cycling and running infrastructure in the world, according to URB CEO Baharash Bagherian. “The project aims to make Dubai the most connected city on Earth on foot or by bike,” he added.

The URB has also envisioned a huge agritourism project for the Dubai desert, which, he says, could become a new benchmark for sustainable agriculture, environmental education and green tourism in the region, if built. The idea is to build a more sustainable cycle path and move towards a greener economy.
