Lewis Hamilton’s future looks to be on the line until the end of this year’s season. Last Wednesday (22), in an interview with the sports website OLGB, and according to Eddie Jordan (former owner of the Jordan team), the driver should race or renew his contract with Mercedes or switch to Ferrari.

“The only options I see for Hamilton is to stay at Mercedes or go to Ferrari. At the moment there is no signed contract and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has said that if he were Hamilton he would consider leaving,” said Eddie Jordan. Although the driver has considered renewing his contract to stay with his team, no deal has been signed and it is believed to be due to the team’s lack of success this year.

Eddie Jordan adds that the driver should look for another team that really values him: “Hamilton should look to go to another champion team, but the drama is who will be left out? Red Bull would not trade Sergio Pérez for Hamilton because they encouraged the drivers who passed through their teams to try to reach the top like Max Verstappen did.”
“I’m sure everyone in F1 would love to see a switch between Hamilton and Leclerc, it would be mouth watering. When you dream of Hamilton going to Ferrari it’s just a thought because he won six World Championship titles with Mercedes so he might want to stay”.
