Remco Evenepoel wins again Liège-Bastogne-Liège race

Last Sunday (23), in Belgium, Remco Evenepoel won again, for the second time in a row, in a solo attack, at one of the biggest competitions in Europe, Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Tom Pidcock won second place and Santiago Buitrago finished third.

“I’m very proud to win here in Belgium with the world champion shirt, I really wanted a picture of me doing it, and here it is”, said Remco Evenepoel who was wearing a white shirt from his team, Soudal-QuickStep.

“It was a very difficult race, in the rain, the roads were quite slippery. It wasn’t easy with Jumbo-Vista’s first attacks, but we kept calm, drove well and kept to our plan, which was to attack after Le Redoute”, concluded the two-time champion cyclist.
