Shakira named Billboard’s “Latin Woman of the Year”

The first edition celebrates Latin artists

Last Monday (24), through the official websites, Billboard announced that Shakira will be honored in the first edition of the “Mujeres Latinas en la Música” award, which aims to contemplate Latin women in the music scene. The special will be recorded at the Watsco Center, in Miami, on May 6th, but will only air on Telemundo one day after recording, May 7th, starting at 9 pm.

“Shakira’s tribute comes after an extraordinary year in which the superstar broke records with the Spaniard’s biggest debut of 2022 (“Monotonía” featuring Ozuna).
