Felix Gall overtakes Remco Evenepoel to take the lead on stage four of the Tour de Suisse

For the first time, last Wednesday (14), Felix Gall won the fourth stage of the Tour de Suisse, which takes place between the 11th and 20th of this month, and took the lead in the overall competition. The athlete showed an excellent performance that even surpassed the world champion Remco Evenepoel and until then leader of the matches, Mattias Skjelmose.

“I think I’m in the shape of my life. Yesterday I felt really good. This morning we said that if I was feeling the same I would have to try the last climb. I really didn’t think it would be possible because there was still a long way to go before the finish line,” said Felix Gall.

The cyclist stated that he didn’t think it would be more difficult to compete with such good professionals in the sport, but that, with perseverance, he achieved this milestone: “I’m still overwhelmed by the situation, I really don’t know what to think. It’s my first professional win here at the Tour de Suisse and now I also have the leader’s jersey”.
