Tadej Pogocar announces participation in Italian races at the end of the 2023 season

Last Monday (11), through social networks and official websites, Tadej Pogocar announced that he will participate in new Italian competitions to close the brilliant 2023 season with a flourish. Simultaneously, Wout van Aert also said that he will be at cyclist’s side of the races.

Previously, the season would begin with the II Lombardia competition, which will begin on October 7th. However, now, the athlete has confirmed his presence at the Coppa Sabatini, on September 14th, at the Final Monument at the Giro dell’Emilia, on September 30th, and with the Tre Valli Varesine, which will take place on October 10th.

In a statement, the president of the organizers of the Pecciolesa Cycling Union, Luca Di Sandro, revealed that he is excited about Tadej Pogocar’s presence in the races: “We have reached an agreement with Team Emirates from the United Arab Emirates. We are pleased and proud to have a champion of Tadej Pogocar’s structure at the start of the 71st edition of the Coppa Sabatini. We thank the athlete and UAE Team Emirates.”

The cyclist’s team also confirmed the presence of Wout van Aert in the road race and time trial competitions at the UEC European Championships, on September 20th to 24th in Drenthe, and at the UCI World Gravel Championships, which will take place on September 7th. October, in Italy.

Furthermore, during an interview with the Het Laatste Nieuws website, the athlete stated that he will also be at the Super 8 Classic, on September 16th, the Coppa Bernocchi, on October 2nd, and Gran Piemonte, October 5th. The cyclist said that the next few months will be intense but that he was satisfied with the competitions.
