“I want to say a big thank you to everyone on the AMF1 team for trusting me, believing in me and giving me the opportunity. It took me a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get here. Jessica Hawkins continued: “It was absolutely worth it and gave me really valuable insight. Nothing compares to the acceleration and braking of a Formula 1 car and after looking at the data I am very proud of my performance. Driving the AMR21 was a dream come true for me and one that I have been ready to achieve for a long time. I will continue to push for more, and in the process, I want to inspire other women to follow their dream, no matter what it is.”

The athlete has increasingly established herself in the sport, as she was a finalist on the podium in the W series and is the British Kart champion, gaining the opportunity to participate in the AMF21 team in 2021. After many years, Jessica Hawkins demonstrated that her potential was great. bigger and completed preparatory work for the Silverstone team last year.

The test carried out by the British is also considered a milestone in the sport, due to the preparation for the 2024 Formula 1 Academy, in which the teams will be made up of only women. Along the event route, Jessica Hawkins did 26 laps alongside Felipe Drugovich.
