Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell out until December due to injury

Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell will miss at least two months due to a hamstring injury, leaving his team and England devastated.

He suffered the injury last Wednesday (09/27), in the final moments of the match against Brighton. Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino had already said that “it doesn’t look good” ahead of further tests.

Chilwell is facing at least eight weeks out, and could be sidelined further depending on how his rehabilitation goes. The player faces a race to get back into the game before Christmas, halfway through the campaign. 

The full-back had already ruled out of the World Cup last year, due to a hamstring problem. He returned in February and played regularly. He is set to miss the rest of England’s campaign in the Euro 2024.
