The Gunners lost their previous game against Lens, in a 2-1 match, but managed to recover facing Sevilla. Gabriel Martinelli made his Champions League debut for the visitors with a goal, running onto Gabriel Jesusâ ball and beating the goalkeeper in first-half of the match.

Jesus also helped the team increase the lead, as early in the second half he struck into the top corner. Sevilla got back in the game with Nemanja Gudelj scoring from a set-piece. Arsenal had to withstand some pressure but the game finished 2-1 to the Gunners, moving them to top of Group B.
Gabriel Jesus went off with a suspected hamstring injury, and faces time on the sidelines. Manager Mikel Arteta told TNT Sports that “he straight away asked to be subbed which is not good news because Gabriel is not a player who does that at all. We will have to wait and see in the next few days”. Jesus has three goals in three Champions League games this season.Â
