Mbappé: “It will be my turn to leave at some point”

Mbappé spoke about his future, opening doors to a possible exit from Europe. Not exactly in the short term – his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends in June and he is a target for Real Madrid.

The French star cited the exodus of players to Saudi Arabia last year when declaring that his time will come to leave PSG, in an interview with “GQ” magazine published this Wednesday (17).

“Many great players who shaped the history of football left Europe this summer and we are entering a new era. It has become part of the cycle of this sport and at some point it will be my turn to leave. I’m not worried about these changes. Just think about continuing my career and following my own path”, said the player.

It is worth remembering that in the transfer window in the middle of last year, Messi and Neymar left PSG and also from European football. Without renewing, the Argentine went to Inter Miami, a club in the United States that has former player David Beckham as one of the owners.

The Brazilian, who is currently injured, was signed by Al-Hilal in a record transfer to Saudi Arabia, worth up to 100 million euros (R$535 million), including bonuses and variables; there he will receive 320 million euros (R$1.7 billion) over the two-year contract.

Mbappé can sign a pre-contract with any club and leave PSG for free in the middle of the year. He has already stated that he has not made a decision regarding the future, but that “all parties are protected”.

The French star is mainly interested in Real Madrid, with whom the player’s staff denied there was any kind of agreement, according to “RMC”. The Spanish club seeks to have written guarantees that seal a commitment if he decides to leave Paris.

Mbappé would also be open to exploring other options, both sporting and financial, and Liverpool could enter the fray, according to the British newspaper “The Times”. Last year, the player received an offer from Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, but he didn’t even want to open talks.
