Vitor Roque was disenchanted with the Barcelona shirt and secured three points this Wednesday (31). With this, it was the team’s first commitment after Xavi announced that he will leave his role at the end of the season.
The 18-year-old striker, after a beautiful assist from João Cancelo, scored the winning goal for 1-0 against Osasuna, in a delayed game valid for the 20th round of the Spanish Championship.
Voted best on the field, Vitor Roque needed just over a minute to score. In his sixth game for Barcelona – all coming off the bench -, the number 19 replaced Fermín López, who had replaced the injured Ferrán Torres, 16 minutes into the second half.
The ex-Athletico striker became the youngest Brazilian to score in the history of the Spanish Championship, surpassing Ronaldo Fenômeno.
With Barcelona’s result momentarily moving up to third place with 47 points, eight less than leader Girona. Osasuna, with 26, occupies 12th place.
Now, the teams return to the field on Saturday, for the 23rd round. Osasuna hosts Celta de Vigo and Barcelona visits Alavés.
