Playing at home, Arsenal beat leaders Liverpool 3-1, with two mistakes from Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson, one of which was a goal from compatriot Gabriel Martinelli.

Bukayo Saka and Trossard scored the Gunners’ other goals. Fellow Brazilian Gabriel Magalhães scored Liverpool’s own goal.

Even with the defeat, Liverpool are still leaders of the English Championship, but the advantage for Arsenal has fallen to two points: 51 to 49.

City still need to play a postponed game in December, from the 18th round, also against Brentford, in Manchester.

Now, Arsenal returns to the field next Sunday (11) against West Ham away from home. Meanwhile, Liverpool plays on Saturday (10), at home against Burnley.
