The classic between Milan and Rome is the big attraction of the top eight phase. Two of the favorites for the title, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen can only face each other in the final.
Eight balls with the names of the eight classified teams were placed in a single pot. Then, the matches were drawn, defined in the order in which the balls were drawn, with the help of former Spanish player Fernando Llorente. The first teams drawn for a duel will be the home teams in the first games.
A new draw also defined the path to the semifinals and finals. Four balls were placed in a pot with the roles of “winner of semi-final 1” to “winner of semi-final 4”. The first two balls drawn formed one confrontation, and the other two, the other.
