Kuminga falls on Embiid’s knee, and the 76ers center leaves the court in pain

The duel with the Warriors, on Tuesday (30), was not positive for the 76ers. In addition to the 119-107 defeat (the fourth in a row in the NBA), the Philadelphia franchise also saw Joel Embiid leave the court injured.

As a result, four minutes before the end of the match, Jonathan Kuminga, from Golden State, fell on the pivot’s left knee, which had to go straight to the locker room and could get complicated in the search for the MVP award.

Before facing the Warriors, Embiid had missed two games precisely because of knee pain. The 76ers, however, claim that the injury suffered by the Cameroonian on Tuesday is unrelated to the previous problem. Now, the pivot will undergo tests to understand the seriousness of the situation.

Furthermore, in the second quarter of the game against Golden State, Embiid had already collided with Draymond Green. The 76ers center remained on the ground, with his hands on his head, but returned to the game. In total, he scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds, remaining on the court for 30 minutes.

If Embiid and the 76ers didn’t shine on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors had – once again – an inspired Stephen Curry. For the third game in a row, the point guard scored more than 30 points. There were 37, with eight three-pointers and 70% shooting from the field.

Now, the Warriors have 20 wins and 24 losses on the season. They occupy 12th place in the NBA Western Conference. The Philadelphia 76ers, on the other hand, are fifth in the East, with 29 positive results and 17 negative results.
