Bronny James’ colleagues remember accident on USC courts

For the first time, Bronny James’ colleagues recalled the accident that occurred with the player in July this year, on the Galen Center court. DJ Rodman reports that the event left him in a state of alert as the athlete had witnessed two other heart attacks from other former teammates. The article was published last Monday (25), in the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

When Bronny James began to feel ill, athletic trainers at the University of Southern California (USC) managed to implant the defibrillator and immediately called emergency services to request help for the athlete. After numerous studies and tests, LeBron James’ son was discharged from the hospital and diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.

However, identifying the injury will not limit the athlete’s presence and return to matches, it simply requires extra care with their health. Even back at the University of Southern California (USC), the team’s coaches have not yet revealed when Bronny James will make his return to the court.

“It’s one of those lessons where no matter who you are, no matter how invincible you think you are, it can happen to anyone. I’m not taking anything for granted. I know Bronny never took anything for granted. I’m really happy that Bronny is okay now,” said DJ Rodman.

Throughout his career in basketball, Bronny James has been seen as a promise to professional sports as, next year, he will be available for the 2024 Draft. As the athlete’s recovery progresses, father and son will be able to play on the courts providing an unprecedented and special event for the NBA.
