49ers beat Giants to third win of NFL season

The San Francisco 49ers hosted, this Thursday (21), the New York Giants to open Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season, and secured their third victory of the season with a comfortable 30-12.

After a difficult start, the Californian team took control of the match in the second quarter and quickly gained an advantage, going into the break with a 17-6 lead.

In this game, running back Christian McCaffrey reached 5,000 career rushing yards. The player reached the milestone in 78 matches.

McCaffrey finished the game with 18 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown, as well as five catches for 34 yards. Another highlight of the San Francisco team was Deebo Samuel.

The receiver recorded six receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. In addition to the two, QB Brock Purdy had another safe game and recorded 25/37 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

Now, with the three wins and the lead in the NFC West, the 49ers are now preparing for the duel with the Arizona Cardinals, on Sunday (1). On the other hand, the Giants, now with two losses and one victory, return to the field against the Seattle Seahawks, on Monday Night Football on October 2nd.
