“One of our new internal slogans is that we want to write the history of the sport. We are well on our way to doing that. we want people to talk about it in the future. We set the bar really high all the time, it’s not because we want to show off, it’s what we need to do with our status. We set high sparks everywhere and luckily we got the desired result,” said Jumbo-Vista sporting director Arthur Van Dongen.

During the press conference, Tiesj Benoot was asked about the potential of Jumbo-Vista and the comparison between the other teams: “I won’t say that. We have to keep calm and enjoy these victories. Next week is a new week and everyone is back at the starting line with a blank slate. We got two wins after two days of racing with this Spring Classics team, so it’s a great start”.
