Today (01), it was announced by Formula 1 that Susie Wolff will assume the position of managing director of the F1 Academy. The news is linked to the association’s new policy, released in November 2022, which would launch a category entirely composed of women, with the aim of helping in the development of young pilots for the various competitions.

The former pilot has an exceptional curriculum in the area. In 2018, she took over as head of Venturi in Formula E until 2022, she competed in the DTM, participated in the development of Williams and, from now on, will have direct contact with Stefano Domenicali.

“The F1 Academy is an opportunity to drive genuine change in our industry, creating the best structures to find and nurture female talent on their journey to the elite levels of motorsport, both on and off the track. There is a lot of work to be done, but there is also a clear determination to get it done. In doing so, I believe the F1 Academy can stand for something beyond racing. It can inspire women around the world to follow their dreams and realize that with talent, passion and determination, there is no limit to what they can achieve,” said Wolff.
