Domenico Pozzovivo signs contract with Israel – Premier Tech

After the end of the agreement with Intermarché-Circus-Wanty and two months without finding a team, Domenico Pozzovivo has just signed a new contract with Israel-Premier Tech and, with that, the cyclist has the chance to participate in the new competitions on the UCI restrictions.

“It is a great achievement to join a team that is happy to reciprocate these hard and difficult months of training without a team but, at the same time, it is a starting point to build a very good season. Starting a little later than usual, but with the same motivation”, said the cyclist.

When asked about the Giro d’Italia, the athlete reported that: “Competition is one of the main objectives of the season and, for me, being in the top 10 is the objective. I think it’s an important result, also considering my age, and also what happened in my career in terms of accidents and recoveries”.

At the age of 40, Domenico Pozzovivo will officially participate as a member of Israel-Premier Tech, in the Settimana Coppi e Bartali competition, in Italy, which opens on March 21st to 25th.
