Comparing his performance with that of his teammate, Tadej Pogocar, the athlete stated that: “It was one of the best days on the bike. I think at one point I started to doubt my energy meter because it was showing such a high number. We had been preparing for this for so long and we knew I was in good shape and all the work paid off today”.

Comparing his performance with that of his teammate, Tadej Pogocar, the athlete stated that: “I can see on the screens that I was a minute ahead, but I was surprised to be so far ahead. It also motivated me because at a certain point I started to see the car and that gives me more motivation”.

Recently, in a press conference, the director of Jumbo-Visma, Richard Plugge, Jonas Vingegaard’s team, reported that even with positive and good results, the competition was not over yet and that he would only stop worrying when Tadej Pogocar was returning home. “Pogocar is like the Germans, as we say in Holland, with football, you only beat them when they’re on the bus back home,” he said.
