Inaugural U.S. National Gravel Championships to be held in Nebraska

Registration begins in July on the competition's official website

Last Thursday (16), on the official website, USA Cycling announced that Gering, Nebraska, will be the official headquarters of the US National Gravel Championship, which will take place on September 9 of this year. It was also revealed that the competition will be held in the same place in the year 2024.

“While this event is a benefit to our members and a long-awaited addition to the national championship calendar, we are not using a penny of member dues to fund the prize pool, nor are we diverting funds from grassroots racing programs. 100 % of the prizes will be funded by entry fees and sponsorship,” said Brendan Quirk, director of USA Cycling.

Nebraska’s Landmark Country will be the main destination for athletes during the games, passing through places like Scott Bluff National Monument and Chimney Rock. Furthermore, the competition is a gateway for cyclists wishing to participate in the UCI Gravel World Championships and the estimated prize value is U $60,000 dollars. Registration will begin on July 14, on the official website of the championship.
