The cyclist also commented on how the preparation and the races went: “I knew I had to go alone the last time I climbed Kwaremont. I just gave it all away. I almost cracked on the Paterberg, but I knew it would be difficult. It was the only way to go all the way. Kwaremont is what suits me the most, we hit with speed and suffer on the rocks. Then it’s pure power to the top and it’s over. It favors me”.
