“It’s so hard. I’m actually a little in shock. It might be the hardest course I’ve ever seen in the Tour de France. There are some sprint opportunities, but you need to get to them, that’s the problem. I think Turin should offer an opportunity for sprinters”, said the athlete referring to the initial stages that could establish a new milestone in his career.

Regarding the location of the initial start, which will be in Florence – Italy, repeating this year’s occasion, the cyclist stated: “The start in Italy is super cool. There are only a few kilometers left, so I know the first few kilometers very well, but it doesn’t make any difference because it starts hard, ends hard and it’s all difficult.”

Next year, the competition will have a longer route than the last matches, with 3,800 kilometers, with its beginning being more complex, and obtaining a reproduction of one of the stages that filled the Giro dell’Emilia with the passage through Emilia-Romagna and the ascent of San Luca.

However, to end his career in professional sport and begin his retirement, Mark Cavendish has been carrying out long periods of training together with Astana Qazaqstan and with the new leaders who arrived at the team to prepare and improve the cyclists even more.
