Last Monday (24), the athlete underwent the operation and the medical director of the UAE Emirates team, Dr. Adrian Rotunno, announced that “Tadej Pogocar’s scaphoid surgery was a success and he will return home tomorrow for recovery and rehabilitation”.

“It’s too early to tell. We will probably have more information after the surgery and we will see how it goes. As there are several bones to be recovered, it is a more complicated operation. So we are crossing our fingers that everything will be fine and he can recover very quickly”, said team manager Mauro Gianetti.
