“It has been a big challenge to see a path through the rest of my season. We know my main target this year was the Giro d’Italia and what happened was really unfortunate, so it was important to plan the right path with the team management. I think Switzerland is the perfect start, and allows me to revisit a race where I have fond memories of my time trial victory last year,” said Remco Evenepoel in a statement released by the team.
